Ever wonder where your house was located 300 million years ago?
This interactive map tracks how the globe has changed over the course of the last 750 million years as tectonic plates caused landmasses to shift. And in a clever twist, this website allows you to type in any address and see where it falls during any given time period.
“Life’s Lil Pleasures” was created by illustrator and designer Evan Lorenzen. Lorenzen has spent the last year building a library of “micro books” with diverse themes, including one that details major events in Earth’s history, a tiny book of big words, and a field guide to cereal.

Walking on quicksand is possible because it’s a non-newtonian fluid.Basically, there are lots and lots of sand particles suspended in water but as there are so many, when you step on it the water is forced out and it becomes a solid. If you waited in one spot then you would sink in.
